Gynaecological operations

In medical image forming techniques we discussed a number of physical abnormalities which can lead to fertility problems.
These could either be endometriosis, which can lead to adhesions in or around the fallopian tubes, the ovaries or uterus, or abnormalities of the uterus, such as the presence of a septum, polyps, myoma's or fibroids. These growths can occur in the cavity, but also on the outside of the uterus.

If preliminary investigations indicate the presence of any of these abnormalities, or if you have previously been sterilized, then all these factors can be treated by means of an operation;
Even though abnormalities of the uterus do not affect the fertilization process of the egg, they do have a negative influence on the implantation of an embryo and can lead to miscarriage.
