How to get to Brussels IVF

By car

UZ Brussel is close to the interchange between the Antwerp-Brussels motorway and the Ostend/Ghent-Brussels and Charleroi/Namur-Brussels motorways.

  • Take Exit 9 at Jette on the ring around Brussels and follow the signposts to UZ Brussel.
  • At the Emergency department, turn right to enter car park P1.
    Click here for the location of P1.
  • Next to the car park you can find the Child hospital, entrance F on the UZ Brussel campus.
  • In the entrance hall take the stairs (at the right side of the coffee corner) or take the lift (at the left of the registration desks)
    to Brussels IVF.

Parking at UZ Brussel

  • Car park P1 is just outside of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ-zone) if you reach it via the R0.
    Pay attention! P2 en P3 are inside the LEZ-zone.
  • Parking at UZ Brussel is paying. Click here for an overview of the prices .
  • If you drive an electric or plug-in hybrid car, you can charge your car in P1 at a charging station. Instructions are available on the screen of the charging point.
  • The general traffic rules apply on hospital grounds.
  • Do not leave any valuables in your car.
  • The hospital is not liable for damage caused by theft or loss.

Using public transport

By train

For the detailed train table, check www.belgiantrain.be.
For the connecting bus lines, check the websites of MIVB-STIB (lines 13, 14 and 88) or De Lijn (lines 245 en 820).

 

Via the train station in Jette

Several trains stop at the station of Jette:

    • line 50 (Brussel – Denderleeuw – Aalst Gent-Sint-Pieters)
    • line 60 (Brussel – Dendermonde – Lokeren – Sint-Niklaas)
    • and suburban trains S3, S4 and S10

From the station to the hospital (direction UZ-VUB) you can

    • on foot (30 minutes)
    • take bus 14 (10 minutes)
    • take bus 53 (15 minutes)
Via Brussels North train station

From Brussels-Noord bus 14 (MIVB-STIB) of bus 245 (De Lijn) takes you to UZ Brussel in approx. 30 minutes.

Via Brussels South train station

From Brussels South you take metro 2 or 6 in the direction of Simonis or the direction of Koning Boudewijn.
Get off at Simonis metro station, where you can take tram 9 to UZ Brussel.

Via Vilvoorde train station

If you are coming from Antwerpen or Mechelen, you can get off the train at Vilvoorde and take bus 820 to UZ Brussel.

By tram

Tram 9 connects metro stop Simonis with UZ Brussel.
Only low-floor trams on their own track are used here which greatly increases accessibility.
Frequency of the connection
  • On weekdays
    • every 6 minutes in rush hour
    • every 9 minutes at other times
  • In the evening and in the weekend you don’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes

By metro

Get off at Simonis

    •  get on tram 9
    • or take bus 13 or 14 to UZ Brussel

You can also take tram 9 in the other direction at metro stop ‘Roi Baudouin’.

By bus

  • De Lijn serves UZ Brussel with the following bus lines
    • bus 245: UZ Brussel > < Dendermonde
    • bus 820: Dilbeek > < UZ Brussel > < Zaventem
  • MIVB serves UZ Brussel with the following bus lines
    • bus 13 and 14 have UZ Brussel as their terminus and continue to run after 8 p.m.
    • bus 88 makes a connection with, among others, metro De Brouckère (centre of Brussels)

By bike

Are you coming to the hospital by bike?

There is a covered bike shed for patients and visitors at every big entrance.

There is also a Villo!-station near the main entrance.
