How can it be verified that I am immune to CMV?

A blood test can determine whether you have had a CMV (Cytomegalovirus) infection in the past. However, you are never immune to CMV, a re-activation can occur, although these are rare and usually less serious, but more difficult to assess in terms of severity for the foetus. It is therefore best, even with previous contact with CMV, to continue to pay attention to hand hygiene after contact with saliva, urine or snot of small children and the elderly.
